A new call for papers has been announced. From the flyer:
CALL for PAPERS: SLAGMARK–Journal of the History of ideas
#68: Søren Kierkegaard 200 years
(coming out autumn 2013)
”You begin with individuals, a few readers, and the task or the movement is then to gather together a mass, to get an abstraction: the Audience.”
Søren Kierkegaard’s authorship has a rich and nuanced history of reception. Kierkegaard’s engagement and unique style as a writer and thinker as well as his aesthetical, ethical and religious writer pseudonyms have inspired a range of different receptions within different geographies and fields of study.
With a special edition in honour of Kierkegaard’s 200th birthday, Slagmark brings into focus various tendencies in Kierkegaard’s reception and inheritors: within philosophy, theology, psychology, literature and politics; in Denmark, USA, Germany and France.
Contributions may focus on (but are not limited to) the following themes:
> Criticism of culture
> Art and aesthetics
> Ethics and politics
Deadline for submissions: March 1, 2013
Articles should not exceed 30.000 characters, all inclusive (with space). Guidelines at
www.slagmark.dk must be followed in order for the article to be submitted for peer review.
